Bifunctional europium doped SrTiO3 ceramics with energy storage and photoluminescence

Rare-earth ion Eu3+ was doped into SrTiO3 ceramic to improve its dielectric energy storage properties and act as luminescence centres. Typically, ceramics with 0.2% exhibit high breakdown strength up 354 kV/cm a relatively recoverable density of 2.13 J/cm3. Compared those the undoped sample, are enhanced by about 22% 58%, respectively. The doping effect can be explained inhibition long-range movement carriers. Moreover, europium capacitor exhibits an excellent power 37 MW/cm3 in ultrafast discharge time 25 nanoseconds at 200 kV/cm. Meanwhile, sample characteristic red photoluminescence. bifunctional offer prospect for optical applications.
